Philodendron Xanadu, a beautiful and exotic looking houseplant with a lush foliage. A popular outdoor landscaping plant, the xanadu can be adapted to grow well indoors. Its dark green leaves can grow as large as 16 -18 inches long and 7 - 14 inches wide. A good corner or central piece, the xanadu's looks get better with age.
Current stock bushier than pictured.
LIGHT - A Xanadu needs more light than other philodendron in order to maintain its compact appearance and will grow best in medium indirect light. Too much bright light causes the leaves of a Xanadu to become pale and bleached looking; too little and the stems of a Xanadu become elongated as the plant stretches towards the light.
WATER - Water a Xanadu thoroughly and then allow the top 50% of the soil to dry out before watering again. A Xanadu grows more slowly in the winter and requires less water.
FERTILIZER - Feed a Xanadu monthly in the spring and fall; every other week in the summer, but never in the winter.
TEMPERATURE - A Xanadu will grow well in regular household temperatures.
HUMIDITY - Normal household humidity is sufficient for a Xanadu.
